Select People Solutions is pleased to partner with a well-established construction company in their search for an experienced Foreman to join their team. Our client is known for delivering high-quality building projects across Western Canada and is looking for a hands-on leader who can support safe, efficient, and successful project execution.

Compensation & Hours:

The rate of pay will be based on experience and industry standards
Monday through Friday, daytime hours
Overtime and travel opportunities may be available depending on project requirements

Position Summary:

Lead and supervise steel erection and ironworker crews on commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural construction projects
Coordinate daily site activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope
Read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and construction documents
Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety
Mentor, train, and support crew members while promoting accountability and teamwork
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure efficient project execution
Conduct daily safety meetings, inspections, and hazard assessments
Manage manpower, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity
Identify and resolve field challenges proactively and efficiently
Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate progress updates to leadership

Required Qualifications:

Journeyman Ironworker certification or significant steel erection experience considered an asset
Minimum 5 years of experience in steel erection, structural steel, or pre-engineered building construction
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to lead crews and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship
Valid driver's license, clean driving abstract and willingness to travel to project sites as required

Bonus Points For:

Additional trade certifications or supervisory training
Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, First Aid, or other safety certifications
Experience working on large-scale industrial or agricultural projects
Strong background in mentoring apprentices and developing crews
