Cal-Rid Pest Control Specialists has over 65 years of pest control experience in Calgary and the surrounding areas of Alberta. At Cal-Rid, we use permanent pest control solutions through the use of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).

We are currently looking for a Pest Control Technician to join our team. Someone with a Pesticide Applicator License is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with our paid training program. You must have a good driving record, be able to work independently, and have knowledge of the city. This is a physically demanding position.

The successful candidate will have:

Excellent customer service skills
The ability to multi-task and plan their route based on jobs assigned
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to compose work orders
Excellent follow-up and organizational skills
The ability to "self start" and work independently
Attention to detail

Typical job duties include:

Inspect buildings and outside areas at regular intervals or at specific request of property owner to detect signs of infestation
Determine type of treatment required
Prepare and spray chemical mixture on infested areas to kill insects, rodents and other pests
Place and set traps to capture and remove animals, such as skunks or mice
Install animal control barriers such as spikes, netting and other devices to keep animals off property
Clean out areas that harbour pests using rakes, shovels, brooms or mops
Advise clients on how to prevent pest infestation

Job Type: Full-time with some week-end work.

Starting at $43,680 - $60,000 with opportunity for commissions, and on-call bonus. Wage would be on the higher end if candidate already has a Pesticide Applicator License.
