Pay: CA$275.00 - CA$285.00 per day

Job Summary

We work with mining and exploration companies on their site so you will be working on-site for 2-weeks at a time then return home for two weeks before starting your next 2-week shift.

Responsibilities and Duties

As the second chef you will be responsible for assisting the head chef/cook in any way that they need. You will be responsible for ensuring that all meals are served on time and to a KICA quality. In addition, you will be responsible to do the following:

Preparing daily items according to instructions
Assisting in maintaining clean and organized stations
Assisting in cleaning food prep areas, equipment, and utensils, while strictly adhering

to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines

Maintaining inventory levels
Following FIFO (first in, first out) method to maximize freshness.
Organizing food storage as necessary
Reporting any equipment/utensil malfunctions/deficiencies to head cook
Working collaboratively with team members
Following and enforcing hygiene and safety standards

Qualifications

Previous kitchen experience
WHIMIS
Food Safe Training Level 1
First Aid Level 1
