Pembina Hills School Division requires a Part-Time Administrative Assistant III, Education Services. This position will begin July 2, 2026 and will be located in the Pembina Hills School Division Office in Barrhead, Alberta.

Pembina Hills School Division is a dynamic and innovative Division with a commitment to its mission - to deliver an excellent education to our students so they become ethical and responsible citizens. We are a close-knit community where we strive to create positive learning environments where students are comfortable and safe and where parents are encouraged to be involved in their child’s education. Within the geographic area of Barrhead, Westlock and Swan Hills, Pembina Hills School Division serves 3,400 students in 11 community schools, 2 Hutterite colony schools, and 2 outreach centres. A very unique factor of our Division is that we operate an online school – Vista Virtual School – that serves students across the province. Please visit our website at https:///

This position involves providing administrative support to the Education Services team, managing the logistics of professional learning across the division, and collating data for division reporting requirements. The position will be 24 hours per week, with the specific day to day schedule being determined closer to the start date. This is a 12 month position.

Qualifications:

Self-motivated and efficient
Superior organizational skills
Possess excellent public relations and communication skills
Creative problem solver
Excellent writing skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish priorities
Advanced computer skills required with excellent word processing, spreadsheets with graphs and formulas. Graphic design (such as InDesign or Canva) would be considered an asset.
Able to exercise a high degree of confidentiality
Able to work independently and provide team support
Handle detail with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work in a high energy setting with changing priorities
High School diploma or equivalent
Post-secondary training in office administration and/or event planning is an asset
