The Human Resources team provides daily administrative support for summer programming, and preparation for Fall/Winter tasks. Working in small groups, or across departments, youth in these roles develop confidence and begin to master skills used in their writing, analysis and participation in the workplace. These roles are progressive over the summer and youth are afforded as much scope and responsibility as they are willing and able to handle. It's a great way to 'level up' in a team setting where your voice and opinions genuinely make a difference daily.
Full-time summer employment contracts range from 8 -16 weeks, May through to September. Post-secondary students are welcomed and encouraged to apply for this position as part of their programs requirements for a co-op or work placement. Contracts are funded by the Government of Canada, and offered at the Ontario minimum wage. Please be aware that all positions may not be funded in all locations.
Some roles follow a hybrid work structure where employees both work from home or in person, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks and/or personal work preferences. Working from the office/studio/meeting location is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration. Training and Workshops may be online or in-person, as needed.

HR Assistant
Human Resources Assistants facilitate the communication and accurate documentation of Human Resources records within the company, and with our community partners. They will handle the daily administrative and HR duties of the organization by providing clerical support; and assisting with record management and payroll processing.
HR Coordinator
Human Resources Coordinators facilitate the communication and accurate documentation of Human Resources records within the company, and with our community partners. They will plan, organize, engage in, and evaluate activities including but not limited to employee relations, recruitment & selection, training & development, compensation, strategic planning, occupational health & safety, finance & accounting, and HR analytics.
HR Generalist
Human Resource (HR) Generalist is responsible for making sure that employees follow all policies and procedures. They are responsible for creating new onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees about their rights.
Typical Work Hours at the Co-op
Regular hours Tuesday - Sunday
Rotational coverage for Mondays, evenings, and weekends as scheduled
