Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Facilities Technician plays a key role in maintaining the facility’s physical infrastructure to support safe and efficient food production. This role’s focus will be working on building improvements and modifications, including repairs, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall installation, spray foam insulation, and other maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, team-oriented, and committed to upholding GMP and food safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:

Complete general building maintenance and repairs.

Measure, cut, install, tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall panels, apply spray foam insulation with proper coverage and thickness.

Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures.

Use hand and power tools safely to perform maintenance tasks and equipment repairs.

Conduct electrical maintenance (e.g., replacing lights, outlets, and fuses).

Support the maintenance of production equipment under guidance from senior technicians.

Identify and report potential maintenance or safety issues to leadership and collaborate on solutions.

Work cooperatively and communicate effectively within a structured team environment.

Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.

Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.

Other duties as assigned.
Profile:
-
1–3 years in a general maintenance role.
-
Plumbing or Electrical experience required (tools, gauges, fixtures, etc.).

Experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment is an asset.

Experience in drywall installation and/or spray foam insulation.

Proficient with hand and power tools.

Familiar with general building maintenance, small repairs, and unit renovations.

Strong attention to safety, hygiene, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Able to safely perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and prolonged physical activity.

Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
