About Us

At Foothills Family Medical Centre, we are a full-spectrum family medical practice dedicated to providing compassionate, inclusive, patient-centered care. Our clinic is home to fourteen dedicated physicians supported by a collaborative and caring administrative team. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming medical home for our patients and a supportive workplace for our staff.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist to join our busy and dynamic clinic team.

The ideal candidate is professional, organized, compassionate, and thrives in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a calm and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

Welcome and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner
Manage front desk operations and maintain efficient patient flow
Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and discretion
Schedule and confirm appointments accurately
Verify insurance and patient information
Process medical documentation and maintain confidentiality
Collaborate with physicians and clinic staff to support daily operations
Perform general administrative and clerical duties as required

Qualifications

Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is considered an asset
Knowledge of medical terminology is considered an asset
Excellent computer skills and comfort learning medical software systems
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
High school diploma or equivalent required
Additional training or certification in medical administration is considered an asset

Requirements

Ability to reliably commute to Black Diamond, Alberta, or relocate prior to starting
AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate required

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
