Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to assist with our summer camp program. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children and interested in gaining experience in early childhood education, tutoring, and teaching. Volunteers will play a vital role in creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for campers during the summer months. This position is ideal for those looking to contribute to their community while developing valuable skills in education and child development.

Duties

Support camp activities by engaging children in educational and recreational programs
Assist with supervising children during various camp activities, ensuring safety and inclusion
Provide tutoring or teaching support in subjects such as reading, math, or arts and crafts
Help facilitate group games, outdoor activities, and creative projects
Foster a positive and encouraging environment to promote social skills and teamwork among campers
Assist staff with setup, cleanup, and organization of camp materials and spaces
Serve as a positive role model demonstrating good behavior, respect, and enthusiasm

Skills

Experience or interest in tutoring or teaching young children
Background or training in early childhood education is a plus
Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs
Strong communication skills and patience when working with young campers
Enthusiasm for outdoor activities, arts, crafts, or educational games
Reliable, responsible, and able to commit to scheduled camp hours during the summer months
