Overview

Join our dynamic construction team as a skilled Stone Mason, where your craftsmanship will bring timeless beauty and durability to a variety of building and restoration projects. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, installing, and repairing stone structures with precision and artistry. Your expertise will contribute to creating stunning architectural features, restoring historic landmarks, and enhancing the strength and aesthetic appeal of our projects. Duties

Measure, cut, shape, and lay stone using hand tools such as chisels, hammers, trowels, and levels to meet project specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed construction drawings to ensure accurate placement of stones in various structures.
Operate power tools including grinders, drills, and saws safely and efficiently to facilitate precise masonry work.
Assist in renovation and restoration projects by matching existing stonework and implementing techniques that preserve historical integrity.
Use heavy equipment for lifting and positioning large stones or materials as required for complex installations.
Apply caulking or mortar mixes to secure stones firmly in place while ensuring proper alignment and finish quality.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects that meet safety standards and quality expectations.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction with a strong focus on masonry or stone work; familiarity with general construction practices is essential.
Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, hammers, trowels, levels, as well as power tools like grinders and saws.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise execution of tasks.
Knowledge of renovation techniques including restoration methods that preserve or replicate original stonework.
Experience operating heavy equipment used in masonry projects for lifting or positioning large stones safely.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites, tool handling, and heavy machinery operation.
Excellent attention to detail coupled with physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
