Full job description

Job Summary
Price-Stephens Family Law is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Family Law Paralegal to support our legal team in managing family law cases. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years family law experience and possess strong research, drafting, and case management skills and be confident in providing professional client support. This role offers an opportunity to work in a truly collaborative environment dedicated to providing exceptional legal services, focused on client experience. An experienced candidate will be encouraged to enrich their duties as desired. We work in an environment where mentorship and support is genuinely abundant. Prospective candidates ought to expect more than one interview to include meeting with several members of the existing team.

Duties

Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings and correspondence, ensuring accuracy through proofreading and legal drafting expertise
Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and other resources to support case strategies
Case manage files in collaboration with the lawyer
Assist lawyer with client interviews, gathering relevant information and documentation for case preparation
Organize and maintain case calendars, deadlines, and court dates through effective brought forward systems
Support the firm’s filing system both electronically and physically, ensuring compliance with professional standards
Collaborate with team members on case progress updates and document review processes

Skills

Proven experience in legal drafting including pleadings, draft orders and family law agreements
Experience conducting legal research specific to family law cases
Strong proofreading abilities with attention to detail
Familiarity with LexisNexis, ActionStep/Soluno and NetDocs or similar software
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Effective interviewing skills for client interactions and information gathering
Professional phone etiquette for client communication and appointment scheduling
Ability to perform thorough research and maintain confidentiality

This position is integral to delivering high-quality legal support in family law cases. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong organizational capabilities, and a proactive approach to providing an outstanding client experience. We are a close knit team who provide support for one another. A team player is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
