We are seeking a skilled and motivated Stucco Plasterer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying stucco finishes to exterior and interior surfaces, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and durability. Your expertise will help transform building facades and interiors, contributing to the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of various projects. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers or bonding agents to ensure proper adhesion of stucco materials.
- Mix and apply stucco, plaster, or similar materials according to project specifications and technical standards.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to accurately execute design requirements and specifications.
- Use hand tools, trowels, hawks, mixers, and other equipment to achieve smooth, even finishes on walls, ceilings, and facades.
- Perform caulking around windows, doors, and joints to seal gaps and enhance weatherproofing.
- Coordinate with carpenters, painters, and other trades to ensure seamless project progression.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the application process to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and safety compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting, plastering, or related trades with a strong focus on stucco application.
- Solid construction experience with a good understanding of building processes and safety protocols.
- Basic carpentry skills for framing preparation and surface adjustments.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical instructions.
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile problem-solving on-site.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints effectively.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading ensures precise execution of design details.
