Full job description

Are you looking for a career in aerospace manufacturing? Join our innovative team as a CNC Setup Operator. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to contribute to precision manufacturing.

This role operates on dayshift (M-F, 7:00am-3:30pm).

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate as part of the CNC department will help set up and operate our 5 Axis Router equipment, providing the department with greater flexibility to handle an increasing workload and aggressive short deadlines.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Perform CNC Operations:
Conduct all set-up and quality operations in support of machining for self and others. Set up and operate machines in accordance with process sheets and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.)
Load, verify, and execute CNC programs from system files; make minor edits as required under supervision.
Use manufacturing paperwork (travelers, drawings, sketches, etc.) to:
Manufacture product that meets quality requirements
Meet time and schedule standards for assigned work
Correctly process work via required paperwork and MRP system
Advise supervision of issues that arise
Perform non-CNC tasks when necessary: non-CNC equipment operation, hand-work operations, inspections, saw-cut operations, etc.
Identify set-up reduction opportunities and communicate to supervision.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be available for overtime as required.
Other related duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

CNC setup and operation experience required; multi-axis router experience is an asset
Fanuc controller experience an asset
Ability to follow process sheets, work instructions, and measure to defined tolerances using standard inspection tools
Manual machining experience is an asset
Experience working with composites an asset
Flexible to work overtime if required
Flexible to work alternate shifts (days/afternoons, etc.)

Teamwork: Work cooperatively with others, respecting each team member's individual contributions
