Role Summary:

Our Calgary Branch is looking for a dependable and experienced Fire Extinguisher Technician who is currently based in Calgary to join the Vipond Calgary team. This position is fully field‑based, supporting customers on-site and ensuring their fire extinguishers meet all safety and code requirements. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys working independently, interacting with clients, and delivering high-quality service.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Perform on-site inspections, and repairs of portable fire extinguishers in accordance with Alberta Fire Code and NFPA standards.
Conduct annual inspections for commercial, industrial, and residential customers.
Complete all service reports, tags, and documentation accurately while on-site.
Communicate findings and recommendations to customers in a professional manner.
Manage daily route planning and maintain a clean, organized service vehicle.
Follow all safety procedures and industry best practices while working in the field.
Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

Must have Portable Fire Extinguisher Technician certification or equivalent.
Strong understanding of NFPA 10 and Alberta Fire Code requirements.
Valid Alberta driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in the field.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds as required.
High pressure hydro testing & CO2 testing certification & experience would be considered an asset
