Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Calgary, AB (global responsibility supporting operations in Canada, the United States, and Australia)

Employment Type: Full Time

Reports To: Global President

Pay Range: Based on qualifications

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team. The CFO is a trusted business partner to the CEO, Global President, and senior leadership team, providing financial stewardship, strategic insight, and leadership to support the Company's growth, profitability, and long-term success.

This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, treasury management, risk management, and corporate governance. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping business strategy while ensuring strong financial controls and operational excellence across the organization.

Strategic Leadership

Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to the development and execution of the Company's strategic plan.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth, acquisitions, capital investments, and operational initiatives.
Partner with department leaders to align financial and operational objectives.

Financial Management

Lead all accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and business planning.
Monitor financial performance and provide regular updates to the CEO, Global President, and Executive Leadership Team.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Treasury & Risk Management

Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and cash management strategies.
Oversee corporate insurance programs and risk management initiatives.
Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks.

Governance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax, audit, and reporting requirements.
Develop and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies.
Coordinate annual audits and work closely with external auditors and advisors.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Partner with leaders across the organization to support business performance and employee development.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
Minimum 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior management responsibilities.
Demonstrated experience leading financial strategy and managing complex business operations.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and compliance.
Experience working with executive teams and providing strategic business guidance.

Preferred

Experience within engineering, technology, professional services, energy, industrial services, or project-based organizations.
Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-country operations.
Experience with mergers, acquisitions, financing activities, or significant business growth initiatives.
