Company Summary:

Founded in 2008, REV’s sole focus is electrical power, its generation, distribution, control, protection and safe utilization. REV is acknowledged throughout our industry as a leader in safety.

Position Overview:

The Machine Operator works within the Manufacturing department and is responsible for fabricating light structural parts using machines such as punch, shear and brake.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation / Fabrication of parts
Read and follow drawings accurately
Operate related machinery and hand tools
Run sheet metal machines to fabricate parts as per supplied drawings. Machines include: Punch – Vipros Amada; Shear - Durma; and Brake – Durma; Masteel
Perform quality checks on parts from current and previous fabrication operations
Perform maintenance on machines as required
Wear proper PPE as required at all times
Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager to ensure REV’s goals and objectives are met
Performs all duties so as to meet the responsibilities listed in REV’s Safety and Human Resources Policy Manual
Performs duties according to REV’s quality system procedures and work instructions

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience on Punch, Shear and Brake machines
Strong mechanical aptitude
Previous experience and knowledge of operating hand and power tools
Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions year-round
Forklift, overhead crane, and picker truck experience is considered an asset
Good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
Well organized with a strong attention to detail
Excellent safety record / safety conscious with an interest in continued learning of safety precautions and procedures
Experience in an industrial capacity with a notable willingness to learn and develop new skills
Active and energetic team player interested in furthering their experience within a manufacturing environment
