Job Advertisement: Chartered Accountant / Bookkeeper
Location: Camrose County, Alberta (Onsite)
Position: Chartered Accountant / Bookkeeper (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and budgets.
Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards, tax regulations (CRA), and cannabis-specific licensing/reporting requirements.
Support month-end and year-end closings, audits, and tax filings.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management on costs, profitability, and cash flow.
Assist with inventory tracking, cost accounting for cultivation and processing.
Collaborate with management on financial processes and improvements.
Handle other financial and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Chartered Professional Accountant designation or significant progress toward it is preferred. Strong bookkeeping experience with equivalent qualifications may be considered.
3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance (experience in agriculture, manufacturing, production, or regulated industries is considered a strong asset).
Proficiency with Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
Knowledge of Canadian tax laws, GST/HST.
Experience with CRA and Health Canada reporting is considered a strong asset.
Familiarity with the cannabis industry and AGLC compliance is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Must be willing to provide a satisfactory RCMP Criminal Record Check.
Must have reliable transportation.
