Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Scaffold Builder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of construction principles, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Candidates with experience in blueprint reading, hand tools, power tools, and other construction-related skills are highly preferred to ensure precise and secure scaffold installation.

Duties

Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine scaffold layout and specifications
Assemble and install scaffolding structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed
Ensure all scaffolding components are properly secured and meet safety standards before use
Dismantle scaffolding after project completion or as directed by supervisors
Collaborate with other construction trades to coordinate work activities on-site
Conduct routine inspections of scaffolding for stability, safety hazards, and compliance with regulations
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and disposing of debris appropriately
Assist with related tasks such as concrete forming, carpentry, or masonry if required

Requirements

Proven experience in scaffold building or related construction roles
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations pertaining to scaffolding and construction sites
Strong understanding of construction techniques including concrete forming, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, masonry, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, restoration, cabinet installation, caulking, and construction painting is a plus
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights safely
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions
Relevant certifications or training in scaffold safety or construction trades are preferred
