Full job description

The Role:

Our client is seeking a Manager of Service Delivery and Helpdesk to join their growing team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leadership role requires a highly skilled technical professional who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment. The ideal candidate must come from an established MSP IT company and have a proven track record in technical operations, leadership, and business development and eager to stay ahead of the curve with the evolving tech landscape. This position offers strong opportunities for advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Level III technical support and lead service delivery across a range of IT systems, particularly cybersecurity.
Oversee day-to-day technical support operations, including administration and support of client systems.
Lead and develop technical staff.
Maintain and optimize environments such as RDS, FSLogix, and cloud-based services (Azure, AWS, etc.).
Manage and support Windows Server OS, Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, VMware vSphere, and Hyper-V environments.
Install and configure physical, virtual, and cloud servers.
Manage security standards, protocols, and the implementation of best practices across client systems.
Maintain client systems and monitor key components, including storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery systems.
Ensure seamless service delivery with exceptional professionalism, availability, and security standards.
Use AutoTask to track and document support requests accurately.
Identify business opportunities and provide tailored solutions to current and prospective clients.
Conduct security assessments and optimize system performance.
Develop and document system standards using IT Glue for consistency across computer, network, and security systems.
Manage service agreements and provide top-tier support via phone, email, remote tools, and onsite visits.
Monitor firewall and network security performance and respond to emerging issues.
Occasionally handle evening or weekend maintenance and installation work as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT industry, with at least 3 years in an MSP environment.
At least 2 years of leadership experience in a technical role.
Strong technical expertise in Office 365, SharePoint, and Intune MDM.
Experience installing and maintaining RDS, FSLogix, and cloud servers (Azure, AWS).
In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
Proficiency in VMware vSphere and Hyper-V.
Experience with VoIP, webhosting, and AI.
Experience with IT helpdesk management, focused on resolving client issues and maintaining system performance.
Ability to manage technical operations and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication skills for both client-facing and internal team interactions.
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and travel to client sites within the GTA.
Possess a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree or relevant certifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
Ability to develop and implement industry-leading SOP practices and IT standards.
Kaseya experience.
AI implementation.
