Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will support food preparation and service operations by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. Previous experience in a food service or restaurant setting is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food industry while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly and thoroughly to maintain cleanliness standards
Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff
Support food safety protocols by ensuring proper sanitation of work areas and equipment
Organize and store clean dishes and kitchen supplies efficiently
Help with general kitchen cleanup, including sweeping and mopping floors
Assist in setting up serving areas and restocking supplies during service hours
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

Prior experience in cooking, food preparation, or restaurant service is preferred but not required
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others as needed
Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food industry practices is a plus
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items (up to 50 pounds)
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary
