Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.

Organize and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in an orderly manner.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific cleaning needs and preferences.

Manage time efficiently to complete tasks within designated timeframes while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

About the Property:

Quality Inn Chatham is a newly renovated, modern 43-room hotel known for its cleanliness, comfort, and consistently high standards. As part of the Choice Hotels brand, we are committed to providing a welcoming and spotless environment for every guest. We are currently seeking hardworking, detail-oriented, and dependable Housekeepers to join our team.

Position Summary:

As a Housekeeper, you play a vital role in ensuring our guest rooms and public areas are clean, sanitized, and well-presented. You will also be responsible for laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens. This is a hands-on role suited for someone with strong attention to detail and a passion for cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:Room & Public Area Cleaning:

Clean guest rooms to brand and company standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms
Restock room supplies such as towels, toiletries, coffee, and other amenities
Clean and maintain public areas including hallways, stairwells, and lobby as needed
Report any maintenance issues, damages, or lost & found items to management
Organize and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in an orderly manner.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific cleaning needs and preferences.
Manage time efficiently to complete tasks within designated timeframes while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Laundry Duties:

Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold all linens including sheets, towels, blankets, and pillowcases
Operate washers and dryers safely and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area
Monitor linen supply and notify management when inventory is low

Qualifications:

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required
Ability to lift, bend, and be on your feet for extended periods
Strong attention to detail
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a positive attitude
Availability to work weekends and holidays as required
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
