Located in the heart of the growing Fraser Valley, our private practice clinic is dedicated to providing evidence-based, compassionate, and highly collaborative psychological services to the Chilliwack community. We specialize in comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based treatment across the lifespan. We are seeking a Licensed Psychologist to join our leadership team to deliver high-quality diagnostic assessments and provide clinical supervision to our growing team of clinicians and candidates for registration.
Position Summary
The Licensed Psychologist will play a pivotal role in our clinic, balancing a clinical caseload focused on psychological assessments with clinical supervision responsibilities. This role is designed for a clinician who enjoys diagnostic clarity, report writing, and mentoring the next generation of mental health professionals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Psychological Assessments
- Conduct comprehensive psychological, psychoeducational, and diagnostic assessments (e.g., ADHD, Psychoeducational, CLBC eligibility, vocational).
- Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychometric instruments.
- Formulate DSM-5-TR diagnoses and write clear, actionable, and timely assessment reports.
- Conduct feedback sessions with clients, families, and referring professionals to communicate findings and recommendations.
2. Clinical Supervision & Consultation
- Provide high-quality clinical supervision to master’s-level therapists, practicum students, and/or candidates undergoing registration (supervised practice) with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- Review and sign off on clinical documentation and assessment reports prepared by supervisees.
- Facilitate case consultations and contribute to the clinical development of the team.
3. Administration
- Collaborate with the administrative team to manage referrals, scheduling, and intake processes.
- Participate in practice meetings and clinical development initiatives.
There are also opportunities for therapy.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology.
- Licensure: Full registration (or eligibility for immediate registration) as a Psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professions of BC.
- Experience:
- Demonstrated experience administering and interpreting comprehensive assessment batteries.
- Prior experience or formal training in clinical supervision is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic, report-writing, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Compensation & Benefits Package
We offer a competitive, secure compensation structure designed to support professional growth, work-life balance, and long-term career satisfaction. This is an employee position, but contracted positions that provide more flexibility are also available.
- Competitive Salary: $120,000 – $180,000 CAD base salary (dependent on experience).
