About the team - Yard Operations
We conduct hundreds of live auctions each year around the world. It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full-time and part-time roles to conduct a successful multi-million dollar auction – from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives.
In this role, you’ll:

Be the first point of contact for customer questions and issues related to the heavy equipment inventory

Process shipping and receiving documents for equipment movement and input data into relevant systems.

Identify serial numbers, record equipment details, and apply correct labels.

Promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees and customers is top priority for all
-
Provide assistance as required to the rest of the Detailed Equipment Inspection (DEI) Team

Assist the Sales team with appraisals and write-ups in the field between peak periods, as required
-
Minimum 30 Hours per week plus overtime
Here’s what you bring:
-
1 to 2 plus years of similar experience.
-
High school graduate. Any post-secondary education is an asset.
-
Knowledge of or has the desire to learn about construction equipment and trucks.
-
Proficient with computers and good working knowledge/experience using MS Office Suite products (e.g. Word, Excel). Documentation processing experience is an asset.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
-
You must be process-oriented and comfortable adhering to company policies and procedures to be successful in this role.

Strong customer service orientation. You have a natural ease of dealing with customers.

Excellent organizational skills. You’re the type that leaves no detail unattended.

Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.

Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and self-directed, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively. You thrive working as part of a team and pitch in wherever needed.

You like to work hard but still have fun on the job.
This job will require you to:

Have a valid, clean driver’s license.

Work both indoors and outdoors year-round and climb on and off large equipment and trucks.

Work regular overtime, including weekend hours. You can expect to work extra hours prior to each sale, during each sale, and after each sale.

Travel to other auction sites.
