Full job description

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dependable, safety-conscious, and hardworking General Laborer / Forklift Operator to join our client's warehouse team. This is a part-time position, working Tuesday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping warehouse operations running efficiently.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of warehouse duties, including operating forklifts and clamp trucks, moving and storing materials, loading and unloading shipments, and assisting with general warehouse operations. Candidates must have a valid forklift license and experience operating forklifts safely in a warehouse environment. Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is considered an asset.

Duties

Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers to move products within the warehouse
Assist with order picking and inventory management using warehouse management systems
Perform heavy lifting of goods and materials, ensuring proper handling techniques
Conduct basic maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure safety and functionality
Support order fulfillment processes by accurately picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse workspace
Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed, ensuring timely delivery schedules

Skills

Proven experience with warehouse distribution operations and equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance
Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control and order processing
Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and inventory management
Good communication skills for teamwork and safety compliance
