Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles including but not limited to Picker Truck, Dump Truck, Lowbed and a General Truck Driver . The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.

Duties

Safely operate trucks and commercial vehicles to transport freight to various locations
Load and unload heavy equipment or other materials as needed
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation for each trip
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle functionality
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations
Assist with warehouse duties related to freight handling and inventory management when required
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries

Experience

Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record, drivers abstract required.
Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related field preferred
Familiarity with heavy equipment handling is a plus
Knowledge of automotive repair basics is advantageous but not mandatory
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments

This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, punctuality, and excellent service. Candidates should be prepared for physical tasks related to freight handling and vehicle maintenance, with a focus on operational excellence.

Work is anywhere from Banff, Canmore, Cochrane, Wetaskiwin, Calgary and surrounding areas.

Benefits are available after 3 months

Wages will be based on experience.
