Full job description

Part-Time Payroll Clerk (Remote or In-Office)

Location: Remote (with an approved home office) or In-Office

Hours: 1 day per week (8 hours)

Compensation: $45.00/hour

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our growing team one day per week. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented payroll professional who enjoys working independently and is experienced with payroll for hourly employees.

Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 80 hourly employees
Manage payroll adjustments for varying schedules, shift changes, overtime, and payroll exceptions
Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time
Maintain employee payroll records
Work closely with management to resolve payroll discrepancies
Identify opportunities to improve payroll efficiency and automation

Qualifications

Payroll experience is required
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online Payroll is required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Experience with time tracking systems and payroll automation is considered a strong asset
