At Prime Performance & Therapy, we're more than a high-performance training facility—we're a multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping people perform at their best. Our team includes Strength & Conditioning Coaches, Kinesiologists, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Sports Psychologists, and Registered Massage Therapists, all working together to provide an integrated approach to performance, health, and rehabilitation.

Based in Courtenay, we specialize in developing professional, collegiate, and aspiring athletes while empowering individuals of all backgrounds to move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a motivated, growth-oriented Strength & Conditioning Coach to lead the development of our high-performance athletes, including professional, collegiate, and amateur competitors.

This role is ideal for an energetic, outgoing coach who leads by example, thrives in a team environment, and is passionate about helping others reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver individualized strength and conditioning programs for athletes.
Lead group training sessions, semi-private coaching, and one-on-one personal training.
Conduct performance testing and collect athlete data to evaluate progress and optimize programming.
Analyze and manage performance data using Microsoft Excel to create detailed client reports.
Collaborate with the performance team to develop new programs and continually improve our training services.
Maintain a safe, motivating, and professional training environment with an emphasis on proper technique and client well-being.
Build strong relationships with athletes, parents, and members while delivering an exceptional coaching experience.
Maintain flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.

What We're Looking ForIdeal Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Strong leadership skills with the ability to identify opportunities and respond to the evolving needs of the business.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Confidence working with technology and data to support athlete development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Athletic Therapy, or a related field.
Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within six months of hire).
NCCP Olympic Weightlifting Certification or equivalent is considered an asset.
Previous experience as an athlete and/or coach is highly valued.
Current First Aid and CPR-C certification.
Professional liability insurance.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data organization and reporting.
Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
