About Us
MT Creator Studio is a commercial sign, print, and fabrication company based in Vaughan, Ontario.
We work with general contractors, commercial clients, property managers, retail businesses, and institutional projects. Our work includes commercial signage, construction signage, window graphics, channel letters, ACM panels, wayfinding, wall signs, and custom print/fabrication projects.
We are looking for a serious, detail-oriented Technical Signage Designer / Production File Assistant who can support commercial signage projects from design and tender review through approvals, production files, and installation support.
This is not a general creative branding role. We need someone who can prepare accurate files, read project documents, follow instructions, and help keep commercial signage projects organized.
Role Overview
You will help with:

The ideal candidate has experience in a sign shop, print shop, architectural graphics, packaging/prepress, or technical design environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare print-ready files for signage, vinyl, large-format printing, panels, decals, and related products
- Create clean customer proofs and approval layouts
- Assist with scaled signage drawings, elevations, and basic shop drawing layouts
- Review tender documents, drawings, sign schedules, and specifications
- Help extract quantities, sizes, materials, and scope details from bid packages
- Prepare organized design files for production and supplier quotes
- Create and revise artwork in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or related software
- Prepare files with proper sizing, bleed, margins, cut paths, outlines, links, and export settings
- Support commercial signage projects with revision tracking and documentation
- Communicate clearly with the internal team about missing information or production concerns
- Assist with online store mockups, customer proofs, and product graphics when commercial work is quiet
- Maintain organized folders, file names, and project records
- Follow company checklists and production standards
Requirements
- Experience in signage, large-format printing, prepress, technical design, packaging, or architectural graphics preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work accurately under deadlines
- Comfortable preparing production-ready files
- Able to read basic drawings, elevations, dimensions, or technical project documents
- Comfortable following exact instructions and templates
- Strong file organization skills
- Able to communicate professionally by email and phone when needed
- Must be reliable, punctual, and organized
- Must be able to work from our Vaughan/Concord shop
Software Skills
Strong experience with some of the following is preferred:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe InDesign
- CorelDRAW
- FlexiSign
- AutoCAD or basic CAD software
- PDF markup tools
- Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
You do not need to know every software listed, but you must be able to learn quickly and work accurately.
Strong Assets
- Sign shop experience
- Large-format print experience
- Prepress experience
- Experience with channel letters, ACM, vinyl, window graphics, decals, or construction signage
- Experience preparing shop drawings or approval drawings
- Experience reading architectural drawings or tender packages
- Experience with supplier quote requests
- Experience with online store mockups or customer proofing
Who This Role Is NOT For
This role is not for someone who only wants to do creative branding, social media graphics, or experimental design.
Most of the work is practical, technical, and deadline-driven. Accuracy matters more than artistic freedom.
Compensation
$22–$32/hour, depending on experience and test performance.
Higher pay is available for candidates with proven sign industry, print production, CAD, shop drawing, or tendering experience.
