Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Extrusion Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion machinery, ensuring the production of high-quality products while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery, basic math skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Duties

Operate extrusion machinery and equipment to produce plastic or metal products according to specifications.
Monitor production processes, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance on extrusion equipment, including troubleshooting issues and conducting repairs.
Utilize logic controllers and CNC machinery for precise operations.
Fabricate components using hand tools and machining techniques as needed.
Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
Safely operate forklifts for material handling within the warehouse environment.
Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Extrusion Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.
Familiarity with logic controllers, CNC machines, lathes, and other fabrication tools is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Basic math skills for measuring materials and calculating dimensions accurately.
Experience with lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Must be able to lift materials up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during shifts.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or manufacturing processes is an advantage.
