Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Lead to support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced cafeteria environment. This role is responsible for leading kitchen service, maintaining food quality and safety standards, supporting team development, and helping ensure smooth daily operations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who works well with the team and can maintain organization, consistency, and positive leadership during service.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and support daily kitchen operations
Oversee food preparation and service execution
Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation
Support and train kitchen staff
Monitor food safety and sanitation standards
Assist with inventory and ordering
Support prep planning and station organization
Help manage service flow during busy periods
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Communicate effectively with management and team members
Assist with opening and closing procedures
Support kitchen performance and team accountability

Qualifications

2+ years kitchen experience preferred
Leadership or Lead Cook experience considered an asset
High-volume kitchen experience preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Food Safety certification preferred
Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexible availability including weekends and seasonal business demands
