About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. Role Overview:

The Warehouse Labourer (Driver) will be responsible for delivering daily samples to Wawa and providing other pick-up and delivery services as required. Will also assist warehouse team with; shipping, receiving, and inventory counts, and other warehouse duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring the daily samples are delivered to Wawa from the mine site in a timely manner.
Pick up mail daily and packages from local business as required
Assist warehouse team with receiving, issuing, and shipping of parts and materials
Assists with special projects in the warehouse
Conducts cycle counts
Operates forklift on a regular basis
Follows established policies and procedures related to receiving parts and materials and complies with established methodologies and quality standards

Qualifications:

High-school graduation
Minimum of 2 years of related experience,
Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures and regulations required
Must be able to work autonomously while exercising sound judgement
Must have a valid Ontario G class drivers license
Must be able to operate forklifts or other equipment as required.
Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather and conditions
Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate

Working Conditions:

Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather and conditions. This will be 7/7 rotation - 12 hours

Physical requirements:

This is a physically demanding job where the incumbent is required to stand or sit for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, do repetitive tasks with few breaks, and so forth.

The schedule for this position is based in a camp operation working on an 7/7 rotation schedule with flights provided from Sudbury Toronto and Rouyn-Noranda. Pay or shift range: $41,250 and $73,750 CAD
