Job type: Full-time, Monday to Friday.

Start date: Late September/Early October 2026

Trillium Animal Hospital is a new, locally owned small animal veterinary hospital opening in Duncan, BC. We are committed to delivering exceptional veterinary care while fostering a collaborative, supportive workplace where every team member is valued and empowered to practice to the full extent of their abilities.

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our growing team. As an RVT at Trillium Animal Hospital, you will be an integral part of patient care, working closely with our veterinarians to provide high-quality medical, surgical, dental, and nursing care.

What You’ll Do

Deliver exceptional nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients.
Administer medications, treatments, and anesthesia as prescribed.
Monitor anesthesia and recover patients safely following procedures.
Assist with surgical and dental procedures.
Perform dental prophylaxis and obtain high-quality dental radiographs.
Collect blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples and perform in-house laboratory testing.
Place and maintain intravenous catheters.
Obtain diagnostic radiographs and assist with ultrasound and other imaging procedures.
Educate clients on preventive care, medications, nutrition, and post-operative care.
Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
Help maintain hospital equipment, inventory, and treatment protocols.
Collaborate with veterinarians, assistants, and client care representatives to provide seamless patient care.
Mentor and support veterinary assistants while contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.

What We’re Looking For

Registration as a Registered Veterinary Technologist in British Columbia.
A passion for providing outstanding patient care and client education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
A collaborative mindset and willingness to support fellow team members.
Confidence working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Commitment to continued learning and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing.
Experience with dentistry and dental radiography.
Proficiency in venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory diagnostics, and radiology.
Interest or experience in emergency medicine, dentistry, ultrasound, rehabilitation, or other specialty areas is welcomed.
