Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to oversee landscape and hardscape projects and coordinate daily operations on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, technical expertise across various trades, and a thorough understanding of construction processes. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for guiding team members, ensuring safety standards are met, and maintaining high-quality workmanship throughout each project phase.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate construction activities, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and .
Lead and supervise a crew of landscapers and laborers on-site
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide team work.
Operate and oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery such as concrete forms and finishing tools.
Execute and oversee installation of:
Masonry, interlocking pavers, patios, walkways, and driveways
Retaining walls, steps, and garden features
Grading, excavation, and site preparation
Drainage systems and base preparation
Assist with construction estimating and project planning to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Coordinate with clients or project managers to clarify project specifications and resolve on-site issues promptly.
Train and mentor junior workers or laborers to develop their skills in various trades.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction or related trades such as landscape , and hardscape construction
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, construction estimating, and construction techniques.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and specialized trade equipment.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights or in confined spaces.
Relevant certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation or specific trades are preferred. This position offers an opportunity to lead dynamic projects within a professional construction environment while utilizing a broad skill set across multiple trades.

We do not do landscape maintenance - only Hardscape Construction experience will be regarded. Pay range of $30-$39 / hour + Truck/ vehicle allowance is based on experience and abilities.

Pay: $32.00-$39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 – 55 per week
