Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations within our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional food service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food preparation and presentation. The Kitchen Supervisor plays a vital role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring efficient restaurant management.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations
Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Train new team members on food safety, food handling, and service procedures
Monitor cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas in accordance with health regulations
Assist in menu planning and development to enhance customer satisfaction
Lead by example in serving customers with professionalism and hospitality
Maintain effective communication between kitchen staff and front-of-house team
Enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or food service environment
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry standards
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Knowledge of restaurant management, food safety, and sanitation practices
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings preferred
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Food handling certification or training is highly desirable
Passion for delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards of quality
