What You'll Do
As an Electrical Field Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful execution of electrical and utility construction projects. Working closely with Superintendents, Foremen, clients, subcontractors, and inspection authorities, you'll help coordinate project activities, maintain quality standards, and ensure construction activities are completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinating and planning daily and upcoming construction activities with project stakeholders
- Supporting project execution by aligning resources, materials, equipment, and subcontractors with project schedules
- Collaborating with Superintendents and Foremen to communicate project priorities and expectations to field crews
- Attending project kick-off meetings, pre-construction meetings, and site planning sessions
- Conducting pre-construction site walkthroughs to identify site readiness, design conflicts, and potential construction challenges
- Coordinating material releases based on project schedules and site requirements
- Managing and supporting project quality control processes, inspections, and documentation
- Conducting site inspections and walkthroughs with Foremen and Lead Hands to verify work quality and compliance with project requirements
- Coordinating third-party inspections and maintaining required documentation
- Tracking deficiencies, outstanding items, and project risks while communicating impacts to project leadership
- Proactively identifying opportunities to improve project efficiency, safety, quality, and execution
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams

What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of construction experience within the electrical, utility, or civil construction industry
- Red Seal Electrician and/or Alberta Journeyman Electrician certification
- Strong understanding of construction methods, project coordination, scheduling, and field operations
- Ability to read and interpret contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Fieldwire, and related construction software
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making abilities
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as required
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
- Successful completion of a pre-employment fitness assessment
Assets That Will Help You Stand Out
While not required, we'd love to hear from candidates who have:
- Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE) training
- Standard First Aid & CPR Certification
- Ground Disturbance Level II Certification
- Experience coordinating utility, street lighting, or transportation infrastructure projects
- Experience working with municipalities, developers, and utility owners
- Previous QA/QC and inspection coordination experience
- Strong understanding of electrical construction and underground utility installation practices
