Full job description

Forum Law LLP is a general practice law firm in west Edmonton who prides itself in providing high quality legal services. We are seeking a lawyer for our litigation department with 3 to 5 years' experience to join our firm.

Our firm fosters a culture of collaboration, where associates, senior counsel, and legal assistants work together seamlessly. You'll benefit from a highly supportive environment, to ensure you are never working alone while learning from seasoned professionals who are eager to help you grow.

Responsibilities:

Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in litigation, commercial and corporate matters.
Draft and review legal documents, contracts, agreements, pleadings, and other legal correspondence.
Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
Collaborate with colleagues and legal professionals to develop effective legal strategies and solutions.
Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of issues pertaining to Alberta laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, records, and documentation.
Stay informed about changes in legislation, legal trends, and precedents relevant to Alberta jurisdiction.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing personalized attention and exceptional service.
Uphold ethical standards and professional integrity in all aspects of practice.

Requirements:

Degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Law Society of Alberta as a practicing lawyer in good standing.
Minimum of 1 years’ experience practicing law, with a focus on in civil litigation, commercial and corporate matters.
Strong knowledge of Alberta laws, regulations, and court procedures.
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and client advocacy.
