Full job description

Position Summary

The Receptionist will serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notify company personnel of visitor arrival; maintain security and telecommunications system. They will also be involved in other duties as required by the department of company.

Key Responsibilities

Promptly answer telephone in a warm and inviting manner.
Operate a multi-line telephone system, transferring calls to appropriate sales representative or departments.
Respond to emails in a timely manner.
Manage daily outgoing courier requirements.
Open and distribute mail.
Invoicing and organizing Purchase Orders.
Copy/create documents for different departments.
Assist Truss Scheduler and Production/Sales Support as required.
Welcome on-site customers, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel.
Communicate with external clients and visitors in a professional, friendly and effective manner.
Maintain the reception and coffee area in a tidy and presentable manner.
Office supply purchasing.
Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Training:Provided on the job.

Requirements:

Able to work independently and as a part of a team.
Able to multi-task and complete work on time under pressure.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Good phone etiquette and customer service skills.
Must be proficient with MS Office applications, word, excel and outlook.
Previous experience of 2-3 years in the construction industry in an asset.

Special Requirements/Unique Aspects of Job:

Physical Exertion:Administration staff is required to sit for long periods of time and work with computer programs and data bases.

Equipment:Photocopier, telephone, computer, printer etc.
