Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Kickboxing Instructor in our women's only boutique studio and ignite the passion for fitness and self-defense in our community! In this energetic role, you will lead engaging, high-energy kickboxing classes that motivate participants of all skill levels to achieve their fitness goals. Your expertise will inspire confidence, promote healthy lifestyles, and foster a welcoming environment where women feel empowered to push their limits. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your love for martial arts while making a positive impact on others’ lives.

Duties

Design and deliver comprehensive kickboxing classes tailored to diverse skill levels, ensuring safety and proper technique.
Demonstrate fundamental and advanced kickboxing moves, combining strength, agility, and endurance training.
Provide clear instructions and personalized feedback to help participants improve their skills and confidence.
Incorporate warm-up, cool-down, and stretching routines to prevent injuries and enhance performance.
Maintain a clean, organized workout space and ensure all equipment is used safely and properly.
Monitor participant progress, motivate attendees, and foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and perseverance.

Experience

Proven experience teaching kickboxing or similar martial arts in a group setting with positive participant engagement.
Strong knowledge of fitness principles, safety protocols, and injury prevention techniques.
Excellent communication skills to clearly demonstrate techniques and motivate participants effectively.
Ability to adapt instruction for different age groups, fitness levels, and special needs ie. injury modifications.
Certification in personal training is required; CPR/AED certification and individual insurance is also required.
Prior experience in Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Taekwondo, Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, MMA or Wrestling is an asset.
Criminal records check with vulnerable sector required

IMPORTANT INFO

Position will start with minimal responsibility with both shadowing opportunities and direct oversight, and staff training opportunities to grow yourself as an elite personal trainer, athlete and martial artist
This is an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to grow into a larger role with the business (future opportunity for head trainer/management)
Position will remain open until ideal candidate is found
