Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing excellent patient service, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical office. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic medical records, medical terminology, and office management systems, particularly in dental or medical settings. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment dedicated to patient care and administrative excellence.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner at the front desk
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately within electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Dentrix
Process billing or payments as needed
Assist with appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-up reminders
Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Support clinical staff by preparing documentation and assisting with triaging duties as needed.
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
Handle administrative correspondence including emails, faxes, and mail

Qualifications

Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Assistant preferred
Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Accuro or PS Suite
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience working with multi-line phone systems in a busy office environment
Demonstrated office experience with strong organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Be able to attend in-person interview and training.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
