Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, and welcoming environment for our staff and visitors. This position involves performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks in a daycare facility ensuring that it is kept in excellent condition.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in all areas.
Conduct commercial cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and classroom areas to ensure hygiene standards are met.
Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed to ensure availability for daily operations.
Report any significant maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Follow established safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in cleaning or custodial services
Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and facilities maintenance is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to lift moderate weights and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties.
Excellent time management skills and a commitment to completing tasks efficiently.
