Job Title: Payroll Administrator – Trucking (Driver Payroll & Settlements).

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Onsite

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Salary: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our trucking company. The ideal candidate will have experience processing driver payroll, working with Fleet Manager and QuickBooks, and ensuring payroll is completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Process weekly or bi-weekly payroll for company drivers .
Calculate driver pay, including mileage, hourly wages, deductions, reimbursements, and bonuses.
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information.
Use Fleet Manager to review driver trips, settlements, and payroll data.
Process payroll and maintain financial records using QuickBooks.
Reconcile payroll reports and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
Assist with payroll-related inquiries from drivers and employees.
Prepare payroll reports and support the accounting team as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of payroll experience, preferably in the trucking or transportation industry.
Experience using Fleet Manager software.
Proficiency in QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of payroll processing and payroll regulations.
Experience with payroll reconciliations and reporting.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience processing payroll for truck drivers.
Knowledge of driver settlements, mileage-based pay, and payroll deductions.
Experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
