Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the head chef, overseeing daily kitchen operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food, leadership skills, and restaurant management experience to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment. The Sous Chef will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, and assisting in menu development to enhance guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Assist the head chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
Supervise and coordinate food preparation and cooking activities to meet quality standards
Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, demonstrating culinary expertise and creativity
Ensure proper food presentation and serving techniques to enhance guest experience
Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation
Enforce food safety protocols and uphold cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen
Collaborate with restaurant management on menu planning, special events, and operational improvements

Skills

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong food preparation and cooking skills with attention to detail
Excellent team management and leadership abilities
Solid understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
Experience in restaurant management, including inventory control and staff coordination
Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer service excellence
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Exceptional communication skills to effectively serve both staff and guests
Passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality and innovation
