Timberscapes Inc. is growing, and we're looking for motivated apprentices who are eager to learn, work hard, and become confident, skilled arborists.

At Timberscapes, we believe the best arborists are developed through hands-on experience, mentorship, and the right opportunities. You'll work alongside experienced climbers, learn safe and efficient work practices, and take on a wide variety of tree care projects as your skills continue to grow.

We're not just another tree service company, we take pride in doing quality work while making the job enjoyable. From team breakfast meetings to post-job BBQs, we believe a great crew makes all the difference. You'll also get the chance to work with modern equipment, including our grapple saw crane truck, and gain experience on a diverse range of residential tree care projects.

What We're Looking For

Currently working toward a career as an Arborist, or looking to take the next step in your climbing journey
Some hands-on experience in tree care or a related outdoor industry is an asset
Eager to learn from experienced arborists and develop your climbing, rigging, and tree care skills
Comfortable working at heights (or ready to build your confidence through training)
Valid G Driver's Licence (DZ is an asset)
Physically fit and able to handle demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions
Reliable, safety-focused, and takes pride in doing quality work
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and someone who enjoys being part of a team

What You'll Be Doing

Assisting experienced arborists with tree pruning, removals, and preservation work
Learning climbing and rigging techniques through hands-on training and mentorship
Operating chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and other tree service equipment
Performing groundwork, site setup, cleanup
Supporting the crew throughout the day
Inspecting and maintaining climbing gear and equipment
Building your knowledge of tree biology, pruning standards, and safe work practices
Working in physically demanding outdoor conditions year-round while developing your career as an arborist
