Full job description

Full-time temporary position for a one-year term, with possible extension based on funding and organizational needs | Monday to Friday with evenings and weekends as required | 40 hours per week

Summary of Position

The Community Engagement Manager is a key leadership role within the Hope Grande Prairie Project, reporting to the Director of Education and Engagement and working closely with community partners and stakeholders. This position provides strategic oversight and management of collective impact initiatives, community engagement efforts, partnership development, and project implementation. The Manager leads the coordination of collaborative activities, oversees key operational and administrative functions, and drives the advancement of shared community goals and outcomes. Through relationship building, stakeholder engagement, and effective project leadership, the Community Engagement Manager fosters cross-sector collaboration, strengthens community partnerships, and supports initiatives that enhance the well-being and autonomy of individuals accessing local services.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide day-to-day coordination and facilitation of the Hope Grande Prairie Project
Organize, support, and engage community partners in advancing project goals and work plans
Complete required administrative tasks related to meetings, reporting, and partnerships
Lead and document meetings as well as provide training to community partners and external stakeholders on the use of the Hope Hub database
Coordinate events and activities that engage the community in the project’s work
Collect, analyze, and report on data and outcomes as part of the collective initiative
Maintain and oversee the project’s collective database to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and functionality
Engage with Restore Hope to support professional development and ongoing learning for the project
Build and sustain relationships with community partners to advance the mission of ending domestic and sexual violence
Work collaboratively with Odyssey House departments to ensure effective service delivery
Provide leadership, supervision, and performance management for assigned staff, including supporting professional development, conducting performance evaluations, and overseeing timesheet review and payroll approvals

Qualifications

The successful applicant will possess one or more of the following:

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counselling, or other Human Services related field (or comparable experience)
Minimum three years working within the human and/or social service field, including 1 or more years of proven community collaboration and committee coordination experience
Minimum one year management experience
A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered

Understanding of the experiences related to equity deserving groups within our community
Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with diverse community partners such as social services, multi levels of government, faith based and health services
Above average written and oral communication skills
Creative problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong knowledge of social service community agencies and protocols for referrals/advocacy
