QUALIFICATIONS

College or University: Administration, Business or Human Resources or Finance OR proven experience working within an office setting performing Administrative duties.
Working knowledge of office equipment such as printers and fax machines.
Proficiency with multiple software’s including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular)
Bilingualism is an asset but not required.
Experience working with QuickBooks is an asset but not required.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT AT CANADIAN SHIELD HEALTH CARE SERVICES

Participate in employee recruitment and hiring processes.
Assist with HR functions
Assist with Finance functions
Manage and distribute information within the office.
Maintain employee files and filing systems.
Send and receive correspondence. Assist with creating letters and emails on behalf of Management.
Execute administrative requests and provide support to employees and managers.
Plan and attend meetings while taking detailed minutes.
Answer and direct phone calls as needed.
Review, update and maintain office policies and procedures.
Create PowerPoint presentations and learning materials for staff education sessions.
Participate in book keeping duties.
Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient.
Assist with employees and client schedules as needed.
