Guse Carriers Inc. is presently looking for a full time Dispatcher & Load Coordinator to join our fast growing team in the Sudbury area.

Monday to Friday | No Nights | No Weekends

Guse Carriers Inc. is looking for a Full-Time Dispatcher & Load Coordinator to join our growing transportation team in the Greater Sudbury area.

This is a Monday-to-Friday position with no nights and no weekends.

The Dispatcher & Load Coordinator plays an important role in our daily operations, working directly with customers, drivers, and our operations team to coordinate loads, schedule equipment, plan routes, and keep our fleet moving efficiently.

We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, confident under pressure, and a strong communicator. Previous transportation or dispatch experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

What You'll Be Doing

Receive and coordinate customer transportation and service requests
Dispatch the appropriate drivers, trucks, and equipment for each job
Coordinate pickups, deliveries, loading, and offloading
Plan efficient routes and schedules for drivers
Communicate with customers and drivers throughout the day
Prepare quotes and assist with pricing transportation services
Enter and maintain accurate information in our dispatch and tracking systems
Monitor active loads and adjust schedules when unexpected situations arise
Coordinate multiple drivers and jobs at the same time
Work closely with management and other departments to keep daily operations running smoothly
Provide professional customer service and help resolve issues as they arise

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate should be:

Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Able to make decisions and solve problems with minimal supervision
Calm and professional during stressful or time-sensitive situations
A strong communicator with both customers and drivers
Comfortable using computers and learning new dispatch and tracking software
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Able to work independently when required

Experience That Is an Asset

The following experience is beneficial but not required:

Previous dispatching or load coordination experience
Trucking, towing, logistics, or transportation experience
Knowledge of Greater Sudbury and Ontario transportation routes
Knowledge of provincial and federal Hours of Service regulations
Knowledge of cargo securement and transportation regulations
Familiarity with trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, or mobile equipment
Experience coordinating multiple drivers or employees

No transportation experience? We provide comprehensive training and are willing to invest in the right person who demonstrates a strong work ethic, good judgment, communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly.
