Position Overview

Scotia Tire is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Supply Sales Coordinator to support the growth and service of tire supply products throughout the Halifax and surrounding market.

This role operates as a mobile customer support and sales position, similar to a professional tool or route-based sales representative. The successful candidate will operate a fully stocked company supply vehicle, visiting automotive shops, tire retailers, and dealerships to provide convenient access to essential tire supplies.

Working as part of Scotia Tire’s Customer Experience Development Team, this position plays an important role in strengthening customer relationships, improving supply availability, and expanding the company’s supply product sales within our retail partner network.

The role blends sales, account service, route management, and inventory coordination to deliver a reliable and value-added experience for our customers.

Core Responsibilities

Customer Relationship & Account Support

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Scotia Tire customers within the assigned territory

Serve as a primary point of contact for tire supply products and consumables

Regularly visit accounts to understand shop operations and recommend appropriate products

Support the Customer Experience Development Team in strengthening customer engagement and service levels

Ensure customers experience consistent, responsive, and professional support from Scotia Tire

Supply Sales Development

Grow tire supply sales within the territory through regular customer visits and proactive account management

Identify new business opportunities and open new supply accounts

Promote Scotia Tire’s tire supply programs, product offerings, and seasonal promotions

Recommend products that improve shop efficiency and operational performance

Support the development of Scotia Tire’s supply category as an additional value-added offering for customers

Mobile Route Operations

Operate a company-provided supply vehicle to service accounts on a structured route

Visit customers on a scheduled basis (depending on account volume)

Restock commonly used supply products and generate orders during customer visits

Maintain a clean, professional, and well-organized vehicle

Ensure the mobile inventory is merchandised and presented professionally

Inventory Coordination

Maintain appropriate inventory levels within the mobile supply vehicle

Coordinate replenishment with Scotia Tire DCs

Monitor fast-moving items and communicate demand trends

Track supply product movement and customer purchasing patterns

Assist in identifying new supply products that may benefit Scotia Tire customers

Operational Reporting

Track route visits, sales activity, and inventory movement

Provide regular updates to the Customer Experience Development Manager

Share customer feedback and product opportunities with the broader team

Support ongoing improvements in Scotia Tire’s supply sales program

Products & Supply Categories

The Supply Sales Coordinator will support sales of products including, but not limited to:

Wheel weights (hammer-on and adhesive)

Tire repair materials (patches, plugs, valve kits, cement)

Valve stems and TPMS service components

Tire mounting supplies and shop consumables

Shop tools and accessories related to tire service

Seasonal and promotional supply items

Qualifications

Sales experience (automotive, wholesale, route sales, or tool sales preferred)

Automotive background or interest is an asset

Strong relationship-building and customer communication skills

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Strong organizational and territory management abilities

Comfortable managing mobile inventory and sales reporting

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to lift and move supply boxes (up to approximately 50 lbs)

Preferred Experience

Automotive or tire industry experience

Experience in route-based sales environments (Snap-On, Mac Tools, Parts Runner, etc.)

Familiarity with automotive shop operations and supply products
