Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.5 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.
At this time, we are looking for a customer-focused and energetic Concierge to join our team on a part-time basis at Southport Apartments. The hours for this position will be Monday to Friday 4pm – 7pm plus on-call phone duties. What you will do:
- Greeting building tenants and guests;
- Collecting rent;
- Coordinating guest suites and common room bookings;
- Ensuring lobby/entrance/common rooms are kept clean & tidy;
- Conducting move in/move out inspections and getting units ready for re-rental;
- Shared on call responsibilities;
- Delivering notices and tenant correspondence;
- Completion of administration work between building and head office;
- Other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
- Well-developed customer service skills;
- Excellent oral communication skills;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office;
- Able to work as part of a team and independently;
- Positive, honest, and motivated;
- Previous concierge experience is considered an asset.
