Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of electrical projects. The role requires close coordination with internal departments, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure successful project bidding and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical systems (power, lighting, low voltage, controls, etc.)
Perform quantity take-offs and labour analysis from drawings and specifications
Develop and submit competitive bid proposals, attend bid reviews and closing meetings
Utilize various software platforms for accurate estimating and documentation
Collaborate with peers, project managers and stakeholders during pre- and post-bid phases
Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
Visit job sites to gather constructability data for accurate estimation
Interpret and apply the Ontario and Canadian Electrical Code
Maintain and update an internal database of cost information
Assist with post-project cost analysis and continuous process improvement

Qualifications

3–10 years of experience in electrical estimating (industrial or commercial focus)
Proven experience with take-off software is required
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints and specifications
Strong knowledge of Ontario and Canadian Electrical Code
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Bluebeam, and Estimating Software
Valid Ontario Driver’s License with clean driving record
