Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday

About Us

Watersmith CPA Professional Corp. is a locally trusted accounting firm providing professional tax, bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting services to individuals, families, farms, and businesses throughout our community.

We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Tax & Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong organizational skills, and is interested in building a career in accounting and taxation.

About the Position

This role offers a variety of responsibilities throughout the year, combining reception, administration, bookkeeping, and personal income tax preparation. You’ll work closely with our team to provide excellent service to clients while helping ensure the office operates efficiently.

No two days are exactly alike, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys learning new skills and working in a professional, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

· Assisting with the preparation of personal income tax returns

· Performing basic bookkeeping and data entry

· Greeting clients and providing excellent customer service

· Answering phones, emails, and scheduling appointments

· Organizing and maintaining confidential client files

· Preparing and scanning documents

· Assisting with CRA correspondence and client inquiries

· Providing administrative support to the accounting team

· General reception and office duties

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Professional communication and customer service skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· The ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative experience is considered an asset

· Knowledge of Canadian personal income tax is an asset, but training will be provided for the right candidate
