Full job description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Grill & Sauté Cook with at least 3 years of professional kitchen experience to join our dynamic culinary team. This position is a part-time with potential for full time in the future. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, is passionate about food, and consistently delivers quality dishes according to our menu specifications. This role requires strong multitasking skills, adherence to health and safety standards, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workstation.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute all grill and sauté station preparations and dishes with accuracy and efficiency.
Follow all menu specifications, recipes, and plating guidelines precisely.
Cook proteins to exact temperatures and ensure consistent quality.
Maintain proper station setup, including prep, stock rotation, and mise en place.
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld at all times, including proper food handling, storage, and labeling.
Clean and sanitize the grill and sauté stations before, during, and after each shift.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and communicate effectively with front-of-house when needed.
Monitor and report low inventory or equipment issues to management.
Stay calm and organized under pressure while meeting ticket times during busy service hours.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in a professional restaurant kitchen, ideally in a steakhouse or high-volume grill setting.
Solid understanding of grill temperatures, meat cuts, and cooking techniques for beef, poultry, and seafood.
Proven ability to execute sauté station items, including pan sauces, vegetables, and starches.
Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations and proper kitchen sanitation procedures (ServSafe certification preferred).
Ability to follow recipes and plating standards with high attention to detail.
Capable of working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods).
Team-oriented, dependable, and committed to high standards of quality and professionalism.
Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
